10 Foods That Burn Fat All Day Long
It’s inevitable. In your noble quest to become fit and healthy, you will eventually have cravings for a quick snack. If you plan ahead for these cravings, there are plenty of ways to stay on track with your fat burning and fitness goals.
10. Boil some hard-boiled eggs
Eggs are a great way to get some protein and healthy fats that will keep you feeling fuller longer. If you boil some eggs and put them in your fridge, they’re an easy to grab snack that will keep your metabolism burning body fat all day long. This trick was used by supermodel Heidi Klum back when she was trying to lose her baby weight.

Baby carrots are the king of potato chip replacing snack food you can munch on while on your laptop, ipad, to watching tv. Having a low-carb dip like Ranch dressing (try one that you need to refrigerate, instead of Kraft brand, which is full of preservatives) is full healthy fats and the baby carrots give you something you can snack while you zone out. The carrots are full of water and cellulose which will leave you feeling fuller for longer!
8. Drink lots of water.
Your body’s fat burning process requires water to keep working all day long. In fact, when you start feeling thirsty, your body is already dehydrated. Drinking water also has the benefit of making you feel fuller for longer, which will ward off excessive hunger cravings.
7. Eat at the same time every day.
Back when you were in school, did you ever look at the clock and notice that it was ten minutes until lunch, and then suddenly your starting getting incredibly powerful hunger pangs? Your body works on an internal clock where it expects food at a certain time every day. These hunger pangs are based on your past habits, and nothing more. You may have noticed that when you start dieting that you get strong hunger pangs the first few days, and then they stop being so intense. Your resetting your clock to work for you, not the other way around.
6. Eat frequent meals
Aim for six light meals a day and your body will always be digesting something. It’s important to not go more than four hours without food or it will crash your metabolism (i.e. slowing the fat burning process)
5. Go for a run
A great benefit of being healthier is being able to run for long distances: pick places you’ve always wanted to see. Running is an activity that is slow enough to soak in the sights and sounds, and engrossing enough that you can think about bigger questions of yourself than what you feel like eating.
4. Go for a walk with a friend (or even phone them).
Most hunger cravings are based around boredom. Creating an active social life has many benefits beyond your daily calorie intake, and you’ll enjoy the new focus that your new healthy lifestyle can give you.
3. Work on your true passion
Working on something you truly love and care about nurtures your soul anyway. But an added benefit is that you tend to go into a flow state: where you lose awareness of time passing and work for hours on end. This is great advice for any moment in your life, but especially now since you creating a newer, healthier you.
Snack cravings are mostly born out of boredom anyway. The best, and truest way to keep your body healthy, is to live a better, more fulfilling life.
